REQUIREMENTS:
Interface and physical dimensions: See figure 1.
Body molding material: Body molding materials shall be selected to enable the fuseholder to meet the
performance requirements of this specification. Additional information and guidance on body molding material
are specified in the notes.
Fuse accommodation:
Miniature plug type: FM02: MIL-PRF-23419/2, or equivalent size and style. Fuse is not captive in cap at
removal.
Poles: One.
Rating: 5 amperes, 90 volts to 125 volts.
Panel thickness: 0.187 inch (4.75 mm) maximum.
Indicating: Neon lamp with clear cap.
Lamp series resistor: MIL-PRF-39017/2, style RLR, 120,000 ohms.
Terminals: Solder lug type.
Gaskets: Gaskets shall be used that enable the fuseholder to meet the performance requirements of this
specification. Additional information and guidance on gaskets are specified in the notes.
Contact resistance: .004 ohms before endurance test and .006 ohms after test.
Enclosure: Dripproof.
Test fuses:
Temperature rise: FM02A125V5A of MIL-PRF-23419.
Short circuit: FM02A125V5A of MIL-PRF-23419.
Mechanical shock: Method I of MIL-PRF-19207.
Thermal shock: Method 107, test condition B, MIL-STD-202.
Torque:
Cap: 4 inch-pounds.
Mounting: 10 inch-pounds.
Salt spray (corrosion): Test condition B.
Part or Identifying Number (PIN): FHL45G.
NOTES:
Cap and body molding material: It is recommended that types MAI-60, GDI-30F or SDG-F of American Society
for Testing and Materials ASTM-D5948 be considered for meeting the body molding material requirements of
this specification. ASTM-D3935 is also suggested as guidance for cap material.
Gaskets: It is recommended that class 3 silicone rubber of A-A-59588 (Rubber, Silicone), be considered for
use in meeting the gasket material requirements of this specification.
