PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
FUSEHOLDERS, EXTRACTOR POST TYPE, BLOWN FUSE,
INDICATING AND NONINDICATING, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR
This specification is approved for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers the general requirements and test procedures for enclosed, panel
mounted, extractor post type electrical fuseholders, both blown fuse indicating and nonindicating.
1.2 Classification. Fuseholder types will be of the following characteristics, construction, enclosures,
and styles as specified below.
1.2.1 Part or Identifying Number (PIN). The PIN designation should be in the following form:

The component is identified by the two-letter symbol "FH" and covers all fuse-holder types under this
specification.
1.2.2 Characteristic. The characteristic is identified by a single letter "L" or "N" which signify the
following:
L - Indicating (blown fuse indication feature)
N - Nonindicating.
1.2.3 Structure. The structure is identified by a two-digit number and indicates the design and physical
dimensions of a particular holder as prescribed by a specific performance specification sheet.
